Background:
Chris has over 25 years prior experience in construction, civil engineering and design and build house building. Chris owned, designed and built Northamptonshires largest waste and recycling (MRF) centre. This was sold to a plc in 2007
In the last 12 years Chris has further developed and applied an interest in connected wireless technologies, including vehicle telematics and telephony.
Practical experience and application:
Having a background interest in telematic technology was useful when developing practical solutions for real problems. It was important to know and understand the movements and dynamics of refuse collection vehicles while collecting the recycling from 47,000 households - on a daily basis.
Doing it our way - Trackitnow :
In 2007, Chris joined forces with Andy Tomalin, a telecommunication and process engineer with over 20 years technical knowledge. The aim was to develop a fresh ground-up approach to vehicle tracking and fleet managent, redesigned with the customer requirements at the core of the system.
Family and spare time:
Chris is married with two children and lives in Rutland. Chris enjoys dog walking and mountain biking around Rutland Water in the UK and in the Pyrenean foothils of the Baix De Emporada in Catalonia Spain.
Chris has held a private helicopter license for over 17 years and also owns a small helicopter charter, hire and training business.
